> ## Documentation Index > Fetch the complete documentation index at: https://cal.id/docs/llms.txt > Use this file to discover all available pages before exploring further. # Integrate Cal ID with Zapier > Connect Cal ID to Zapier with an API key so every new booking can trigger automated actions across thousands of other apps. **Zapier** lets you build "Zaps" that connect Cal ID to thousands of other apps, automating repetitive tasks. Once your Cal ID account is linked, a new booking can add a contact to your email list, log a row in a spreadsheet, or post a message to your team chat without any manual work. ## Step 1: Generate your Cal ID API key Linking Cal ID to Zapier needs an API key as a secure bridge. Log in to Cal ID and open the **Apps** tab. Search for **Zapier** and open its **Details**. For your security, Cal ID never shows this key again once you leave or refresh the page. If you lose it, generate a new one. ## Step 2: Connect Cal ID in Zapier In [Zapier](https://www.zapier.com/), click **Create Zap**. Zapier tests the connection against a recent booking. ## Step 3: Add an action Choose what happens next with your booking data: | Category | Example apps | What you can do | | --------------- | ---------------------------- | -------------------------- | | Email marketing | Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign | Add attendees to a list | | Spreadsheets | Google Sheets, Airtable | Log bookings as rows | | Team chat | Slack, Microsoft Teams | Post booking notifications | | CRM | HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho CRM | Create or update records | Click **Publish** to make your Zap live. ## Troubleshooting * **Key not working?** Check for an accidental extra space at the start or end of the API key. * **Team events not triggering?** Make sure you generated the key for that **Team** rather than your personal account. ## Other integration routes Build scenarios that send booking data to other apps.
