# Resetting a Forgotten Password

> Recover a forgotten Cal ID password from the login page by requesting a reset email and setting a new password from the recovery link.

Forgot your Cal ID password or can't log in? You can recover your account from the login page with a reset link sent to your email.

## Request a reset link

<Steps>
  <Step title="Go to the login page">
    Open the [Cal ID login page](https://cal.id/login).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click Forgot password">
    Click **Forgot password** below the email and password fields.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter your email">
    On the **Account Recovery** screen, enter the email tied to your Cal ID account.

  </Step>

  <Step title="Send the email">
    Click **Send reset email** below the email field.

## Finish the reset

An **Email sent** confirmation appears, and a recovery link goes to your inbox.

Open the email from Cal ID and click **Change Password** to set a new one. You can then return to the login page and sign in with your new password.

<Tip>
  If the email doesn't arrive, check your spam folder and confirm you entered the same address you use to sign in to Cal ID.
</Tip>
