Granting the browser permission once

Cal ID will now send booking alerts straight to your browser.

What triggers a notification

Once enabled, Cal ID sends a browser notification when scheduling activity happens on your account, including when:
  • A new booking is scheduled.
  • An existing booking is rescheduled.
  • A booking is cancelled.
Notifications appear only while your browser is running, and each alert links back to the relevant booking in Cal ID.

Turn off push notifications

Browser notifications are controlled by your browser’s site permissions, not by a Cal ID setting. To stop receiving them, open your browser’s site settings for cal.id and set notifications to Block. The exact path varies by browser, but it is usually reachable from the padlock or site-info icon in the address bar.

Browser support

Push notifications rely on your browser’s native web notification support.
  • They work in current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and other Chromium-based browsers.
  • Some browsers limit or disable web notifications in private or incognito windows.
  • You must grant the permission prompt for each browser and device you want alerts on.
