Cap how many confirmed meetings you accept per day, week, or month across every event type in your account, so your calendar never fills past your capacity.
User-level booking limits cap the number of confirmed bookings you accept across all of your event types. Instead of configuring a separate cap on every event type, you set one account-wide ceiling — for example, no more than 4 meetings a day or 30 a month — and Cal ID hides slots automatically once you hit it. This protects time for focused work without you having to manually block your calendar.
User-level limits apply to you as the host, across every event type you own. They live in Settings → General → Booking Limits, not inside an individual event type.
You can set a limit for one period or combine several.
Period
What it controls
Per day
Total confirmed bookings on a single calendar day
Per week
Total confirmed bookings within a calendar week
Per month
Total confirmed bookings within a calendar month
A combination such as 4 per day + 15 per week + 50 per month means you can take at most 4 bookings on any one day, while still being held to 15 for the week and 50 for the month.
Before Cal ID offers a slot on your booking page, it counts your existing confirmed bookings for the relevant period.
Under the limit — the slot stays visible and a booker can take it.
At the limit — the slot is removed from your booking page for the rest of that period.
Say your daily limit is 2 and you already have a 10:00 AM client meeting and a 2:00 PM consultation on Monday. Monday shows no further slots, but Tuesday stays open as long as your weekly limit still has room.
Limits count bookings, not minutes. A 15-minute meeting and a 60-minute meeting each count as one booking. To cap time instead of headcount, use Limit total booking duration on an event type.
When you configure more than one period, all of them are enforced at once. With 4 per day and 15 per week:
Day
Bookings
Monday
4
Tuesday
4
Wednesday
4
Thursday
3
Friday
0
The weekly total is already 15, so Friday shows no availability even though your calendar is free.
Keep longer periods greater than or equal to shorter ones. A configuration of 5 per day with 3 per week is contradictory — a single day could exceed the weekly cap. A valid ladder looks like 4 per day, 20 per week, 80 per month.
If you belong to a team and your user-level limit is already reached, no new booking is scheduled with you as the host — including team event bookings. Cal ID treats you as unavailable until capacity frees up in the affected period.
Pair a booking limit with Out of office and buffers to shape both how many meetings you take and how much recovery time sits around them.
