Zapier lets you build “Zaps” that connect Cal ID to thousands of other apps, automating repetitive tasks. Once your Cal ID account is linked, a new booking can add a contact to your email list, log a row in a spreadsheet, or post a message to your team chat without any manual work.
Step 1: Generate your Cal ID API key
Linking Cal ID to Zapier needs an API key as a secure bridge.
Open the Zapier app in Cal ID
Log in to Cal ID and open the Apps tab. Search for Zapier and open its Details .

Install and select the account
Click Install and select the account.

Review your accounts on the API page
On the API page, you’ll see your Personal Account and any Teams where you’re an Admin or Owner.

Generate the key
Click Generate API Key for the account or team you want to automate.

Copy and store the key
Copy the key immediately and store it somewhere safe.
For your security, Cal ID never shows this key again once you leave or refresh the page. If you lose it, generate a new one.
Step 2: Connect Cal ID in Zapier
Create a Zap
In Zapier , click Create Zap .

Set the trigger app
Search for Cal ID and select it as the trigger app.

Choose a trigger event
Choose a trigger event such as Booking Created .

Link your account
When prompted, paste your API key and click Yes, Continue to Cal ID .

Test the connection
Click Continue . Zapier tests the connection against a recent booking.
Step 3: Add an action
Choose what happens next with your booking data:
Click Publish to make your Zap live.
Troubleshooting
Key not working? Check for an accidental extra space at the start or end of the API key.
Team events not triggering? Make sure you generated the key for that Team rather than your personal account.
