Why use “Disable Cancelling” and “Disable Rescheduling”?
- Ensure Commitment: These settings are ideal for high-demand events or tightly scheduled environments where a last-minute change would disrupt your entire workflow.
- Reduce Admin Overhead: By preventing automated changes, you encourage guests to contact you directly if an emergency arises, allowing you to handle exceptions manually rather than having empty slots appear suddenly.
- Protect Paid Sessions: If you charge for your time, disabling these options ensures that a slot remains filled once it has been paid for and confirmed.
- Fixed Event Windows: Perfect for workshops, webinars, or one-time physical events where the date and time cannot be moved.

How it works for the booker
- Removal of Links: Once these options are enabled, the standard Cancel and Reschedule links will be automatically removed from the confirmation email and the calendar invite sent to the guest.
- Dashboard Restriction: If the guest has a Cal ID account, they will no longer see the buttons to cancel or reschedule that specific event type within their own Bookings tab.
- Fixed Commitment: The guest is effectively told that the meeting time is locked in and cannot be changed through automated self-service tools.
