Multi-slot booking lets a booker select and reserve several available time slots in a single booking flow. Each slot they pick becomes its own separate booking — if a booker selects three 30-minute slots, Cal ID creates three bookings, each with its own meeting URL, reschedule link, and cancel link. Use it when one appointment is rarely enough on its own: coaching packages, therapy blocks, consulting retainers, tutoring sessions, or any service where someone wants to lock in several visits at once instead of returning to your booking page again and again.
Multi-slot booking is available on Business and Enterprise plans. See Subscription & pricing to check or upgrade your plan.
Not the same as multiple time slots per day. Multi-slot booking is about how many slots a booker can reserve in one go. Multiple time slots per day is an availability setting that splits your working day into separate blocks — for example, to protect a lunch break. They are unrelated features.

How it differs from a recurring event

Both features book more than one meeting at once, but they solve different problems.
  • Multi-slot booking — the booker hand-picks each slot from your live availability. The slots need no pattern at all.
  • Recurring events — the booker picks one starting slot and Cal ID generates the rest on a fixed cadence, such as every week.

Enable multi-slot booking

1

Open Event Types

From your Cal ID dashboard, click Event Types in the left-hand menu.
2

Open the event type

Click the event you want bookers to reserve several slots on.
3

Go to the Multi Slots tab

In the event type’s settings bar, click Multi Slots.
4

Turn Multi-slot booking ON

Switch the Multi-slot booking toggle to ON to reveal the slot-count options.

5

Configure the slot count

Choose a selection mode and set the number of slots, as described below.
6

Save

Click Save. The booking page updates immediately.
While Multi-slot booking is off, the booker can reserve only one slot at a time — the standard booking behaviour.

Choose how many slots a booker selects

Cal ID offers two selection modes.
Set a minimum and a maximum, and let the booker pick any number in between. With a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5, a booker can select 3, 4, or 5 slots — nothing below the minimum and nothing above the maximum.Use this when bookers have different needs and you only want to define the boundaries.

Letting the booker decide within your range

You can set a maximum of 5 slots in a single booking.

Where the range stops

Allow multiple appointments on the same day

By default, the slots a booker selects are spread across different days. Turn on Allow multiple appointments on the same day if you want to let them stack slots within a single day. With the toggle on, a booker can select consecutive slots — on a 15-minute event, for example, 10:00–10:15, 10:15–10:30, and 10:30–10:45 on the same date.

Allowing back-to-back slots on one date

Leave this toggle off when the point of the package is spacing — weekly coaching or physiotherapy sessions, for instance — and turn it on when bookers benefit from a longer continuous block.

What the booker sees

1

Open the booking page

The booker opens your booking link and sees your normal calendar of available times.

2

Select the slots

The booker clicks each time they want. Selected slots stay highlighted, and the page tracks how many have been chosen against your configuration.

3

Reach the required number

The booker must select the number of slots your configuration requires — within your minimum and maximum, or exactly the fixed count.
4

Fill in the booking questions

The booker completes your booking form as usual.
5

Click Confirm

All selected slots are booked at once.

After the booking

The confirmation page lists every booked slot. For each one, the booker sees its date and time, the meeting URL, and its own Reschedule and Cancel links — so each slot can be managed independently without affecting the others.

If the booker wants to drop the whole set, a Cancel all slots option cancels everything at once instead of working through them one by one.

As the host, you’ll find each slot as its own entry in your Bookings tab, where it can be rescheduled or cancelled individually.

Example

A 30-minute consultation, configured with Booker chooses slots, a minimum of 3, a maximum of 5, and Allow multiple appointments on the same day turned ON. A booker selects: That is within the 3–5 range, so Confirm creates three separate bookings on the same morning. If the event is priced at ₹500 per slot, the booker pays ₹1,500. Multi-slot booking works with paid events. You set the price for one slot in the event type’s Apps tab, and Cal ID multiplies it by the number of slots the booker selects.

Refunds are not supported for multi-slot bookings. This applies regardless of the refund policy configured on the event type — cancelling a multi-slot booking will not return the booker’s money. Refunds must be issued directly from Razorpay, or whichever payment gateway you have integrated. Make this clear in your event description or booking questions before taking payment.

Multi-slot booking on team events

Multi-slot booking works on all three team event types — Round Robin, Collective, and Managed. Configuration is identical to a personal event type, except that round-robin events add one extra setting.

Round robin

A round-robin event type gains a Round-robin host assignment setting with two options.
Choose One round-robin host for the whole booking to have a single host take every selected slot. Cal ID picks that host from those available at all of the selected times.

Collective

Collective events use the same multi-slot configuration as personal event types.

Managed

Managed event types use the same multi-slot configuration as personal event types. Configure it once on the managed event and it applies to every member’s copy.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. With multi-slot booking enabled, a booker can select multiple available slots in one flow. Each selected slot is created as its own separate booking.
Go to Event Types → open the event type → Multi Slots, switch Multi-slot booking to ON, configure the slot count, and save.
Up to 5 slots in a single booking, in the current configuration.

The selected slots are spread across different days, so the booker cannot stack appointments within a single date.
Yes. Set the price for one slot in the event type’s Apps tab and Cal ID charges for the number of slots selected.
The per-slot price is multiplied by the number of slots. At ₹500 per slot, 2 slots cost ₹1,000, 3 cost ₹1,500, 4 cost ₹2,000 and 5 cost ₹2,500. A fixed count works the same way — 3 slots × ₹500 = ₹1,500.
No. Refunds are not supported for multi-slot bookings, whatever refund policy is configured on the event. Process any refund directly from Razorpay or your integrated payment gateway.
Yes — on round-robin, collective, and managed event types. Each slot appears as its own booking in the Bookings tab and can be rescheduled or cancelled individually.
You choose between One round-robin host for the whole booking, where a single host available at all selected times takes every slot, and Rotate through the round-robin hosts, where slots are distributed across the pool and the assigned host is shown beneath each slot. A configured fixed host is shown against every slot.
